Here are some projects we will be working on:

    • Build a motorized scale diesel electric train locomotive that is big enough to RIDE ON!
    • Tesla Coil. A device invented by futurist Nicola Tesla which generates amazing electrical displays by tuning to resonant frequencies.
    • Work on a lawnmower powered side by side dune buggy.
    • Build something to take home like a 3D Printed fidget spinner or a pokemon character.
NEW: We have just posted an amazingly simple and crazy effective fundraiser for kids to earn their own camp fee money. See it here: http://buildcamp.blogspot.com/p/fundraising-for-kids.html
You will be amazed what kids can do! We will be building cool projects which will teach skills, techniques, abilities, boost confidence and give your child an experience he or she will never forget. We will complete real projects with real results. All projects are intended to inspire and motivate kids and families to do fun projects at home.
All are invited to participate from ages 12 and up.
Here is a look at last year's event.
Talented parents are invited to come and help out. What a great way to spend quality time with your children!
Children who require frequent attention/supervision are invited to participate only with a parent. We will be doing serious constructing activities including cutting wood and metal, painting and welding and using many other tools. If your child will be at risk in semi hazardous environments please do not attend.
Build Camp is meant to expose youth to many aspects of building and creating. As such it is a creative environment in which youth are exposed to tools, methods, processes, and project-based learning. Projects for 2017 include a battery-powered electric model train that's big enough to ride on, a dune buggy, Tesla Coil, fidget spinners, other 3D printed toys.
Due to the creative nature of build camp we may or may not complete any or all of the intended project but we are committed to make sure that each child has an equal opportunity to participate, learn and grow.

Ages 12 and up are invited. Parents are encouraged (but not required) to attend. Build Camp starts at 9:00 AM on each day and ends at about 7:00 PM. Participants should eat breakfast before arriving and bring a sack lunch. We will provide dinner on both days.

This year youth participant slots are limited and will be handled via application process. Please Apply now!
Cost to attend a session is $189 for youth and $149 for adults. An invoice will be sent after successful application and selection.
Fees must be paid in advance in cash/check delivered or mailed to the address above or through Venmo for free. (https://venmo.com/i/joshua-chapman)
We reserve the right to cancel a session due to insufficient number of participants.
