Here are some projects we will be working on:
    • Build, and test drive a motorized drift trike
    • Build a lawnmower powered dune buggy
    • Build a high-voltage Jacobs Ladder.
    • Build a computerized motor scooter,
    • Build a computerized machine tool.
    • Build a blacksmith forge.
    • Build something to take home like a tool box, hand powered drill, and more.

    bending steelYou will be amazed what Boys and Girls can do! We will be building cool projects which will teach skills, techniques, abilities, boost confidence and give your child an experience he or she will never forget. We will complete real projects with real results. All projects are intended to inspire and motivate kids and families to do fun projects at home.
    All are invited to participate from ages 10 and up.
    Here is a look at last year's event.
    Talented parents are invited to come and help out. What a great way to spend quality time with your children!
    Children who require frequent attention/supervision are invited to participate only with a parent. We will be doing serious constructing activities including cutting wood and metal, painting and welding and using many other tools. If your child will be at risk in semi hazardous environments please do not attend.

    Ages 10-18 are invited. Parents are encouraged (but not required) to attend. Build Camp starts at 4:00 pm on Thursday and runs until about 7:00 PM on Saturday ending with a pot luck barbecue for family members who could not join us for the event.

    Or for younger children (5-9 yr) join us for 
    Build Camp Jr. "Grow"
    is a shorter one day event for younger children. It will be held on 
    August 22, 2015














    Please bring:
    • Safety glasses, sun glasses
    • Ear Protection
    • Work gloves
    • Sunscreen
    • Hat
    • Pillows, tents, sleeping bags (kids will share tents)
    • Personal toiletries
    • Extra grungy clothes that are OK to get dirty
    • Swimming suit just in case we have a water fight.
    • Battery operated drill, jig saw, and other tools you may have. Make sure any tools you bring are marked with your name.
    • Camera
    Please do not bring:
    Electronic and other entertainment devices
    bad attitudes


    We will be outside most of the day. Plan accordingly.

    Disclaimer:
    All activities carry safety risks and you assume these risks personally. Please either have an adult join your kids or provide medical insurance information in case of an emergency.
    Participants will be allowed (under supervision) to use equipment such as table saw, welder, sanders, grinders, nail guns, hand tools, etc. We cannot guarantee that your child will be uninjured. We will strive to provide direct supervision, particularly on dangerous equipment, but we can not assume liability. (All participants will be required to sign liability waiver forms.)

    Talented Parents wanted:
    We need lots of help from parents. When signing up please choose assignments you feel most comfortable with.  All attending parents will be given assignments.

    In 2015 we will be building at least 2 drift trikes which will be very similar to these $2500 ones:

    In 2015 we will be filming Build Camp as a reality TV show which will be posted on You Tube and/or presented by network TV. (All participants will be required to sign release forms.)
